What is RivetWorks Details?
RivetWorks Details is the in-house 3D design and printing range from ScaleCraft Studios.
Every part is CAD-designed from real aircraft and period references, then printed in high-resolution resin to capture sharp panel lines, fasteners, weld beads and subtle surface textures that injection-moulded kits simply can’t reproduce.
From Fleet Air Arm Corsair intake scoops to detailed cockpit panels and diorama equipment, RivetWorks Details is built for modellers who care about accuracy, fit and finish.

• Test-fitted on the target kit before going into production

RivetWorks Details – Frequently Asked Questions
What scales do RivetWorks Details cover?
RivetWorks Details will initially focus on popular aircraft and diorama scales such as 1/48, 1/35 and 1/32. Each product clearly lists the supported scale and, where appropriate, the specific kit it’s designed to fit.
What kits are your parts designed for?
Many RivetWorks sets are designed specifically around well-known kits from major manufacturers. The product description will list the recommended kit(s). In some cases, parts may also work with other brands with minor adjustments.
What material are RivetWorks parts printed in?
RivetWorks parts are printed in high-resolution UV-cured resin. This material captures very fine surface detail and is ideal for sanding, scribing and painting with hobby acrylics, lacquers and enamels.
What glue and paint should I use?
For the strongest bond, use CA (super glue) or epoxy. Standard plastic cement will not work on resin. You can prime RivetWorks parts with your usual hobby primer (acrylic, lacquer or enamel) before painting.
Do I need to remove supports or bases?
Some parts are supplied with minimal support stubs or a small printing base to protect them in transit. Simply clip these away with sharp side cutters and clean up with a fine sanding stick or blade.
Do you ship RivetWorks Details outside New Zealand?
Yes. ScaleCraft Studios ships throughout New Zealand and to selected international destinations, including Australia. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
What if I break a part?
Resin is more brittle than polystyrene. If a part arrives damaged, contact us and we’ll look after you. If you accidentally break a piece during your build, get in touch – in many cases we can supply a replacement part at a reasonable cost.
